On a 45 degree, blustery, cold evening, Filipino American Heritage Day ended at Harbor Park where the local baseball team played as the Norfolk Lumpia.

On Thursday, we got wind of all Filipino American Heritage Night paraphernalia was sold out. It was true. We made call to Bob Carter. He talked to merchandize. We were able to get $1,000 worth of jerseys, caps and tee shirts.

Plenty of Filipino food was a welcome site for baseball. It was actually pretty good especially the adobo and of course the lumpia.

Great to see a number of youth groups and youth present.
Despite the cold, blustery evening, the whole event was memorable, fun and gratifying for all involved. Thank you Lord for the Filipino American people.
